'Safe House' premiere red carpet wearing Bettie Page Clothing

Tonight was one of those awesome nights where you just have to stop and take it all in.

I covered the premiere of Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynold's new thriller "Safe House" here in New York City and had the best time on the carpet.

Denzel was as polite and charming as you'd expect and the rest of the cast were all down-to-earth and gracious. There are definitely a few stars in Hollywood whose egos and attitudes leave something to be desired, but that wasn't the case with this cast. As soon as I have video of my interview, I'll add it here.

Read on for details of my outfit.

Apologies for the blur
You can see some of the sparkles in the thread here.
The amazing dress I am wearing is from one of my favorite designers these days, Bettie Page Clothing. Ladies, if you don't know about Bettie Page dresses yet, RUN, don't walk to your computer and look them up. Simply to die for!

I saw this dress and fell in love with it online, but let me tell you, it's even better in person. It's a fantastic material that's great for this time of year and the color is so rich and vivid in person. It's a gorgeous blue with just a hint of sparkle in the thread that really catches the light nicely. I got a ton of compliments on it, one from the film's star Vera Farmiga, who actually asked me where I got it from! That was surreal.

The dress is really classy and chic, but is also fitted and therefore has a serious va va voom factor. I paired it with a thicker belt to give a more dramatic waistline effect. And while my hair got frizzy and my headband somehow ended up at the back of my head by the end of the night, overall, I loved the way the dress looked.

Rockin glasses while setting up.

But honestly, the most fun part of the whole night was catching up with some of my media friends who I don't get to see often, except at events like this. It's always so great to share stories and give each other ideas and motivation. This is a really tough industry -- sometimes so much that I can't even put it into words -- and can be very dog-eat-dog, so I feel privileged to have made some friends here and there with really nice and genuine people.

Thanks for putting me on to Bettie Page Clothing Allie! That dress looks phenomenal on you and I love the brown belt. Brown is one of my favorite neutrals, I think it gets overlooked a lot.
