As this horrendous winter rages on, it always feels so hard to look chic but also stay warm. I've been wearing a lot of sweater dresses and tights to keep myself warm and this outfit was a great blend of them.

I had a few important meetings in the city today -- I've actually been super swamped all this week trying to make big things happen for my future -- which is why I haven't been at as many of the Fashion Week shows this year as I have been in the past. It's a little sad to see all of the fabulous pictures and I've only been to the tents once this season so far, but that's ok. Sometimes you have to sacrifice the things you love temporarily for the bigger picture.

New York Fashion Week always seems to creep up so quickly each February. I always feel like I'm still playing catch up from the holidays and then boom, it's time to start thinking about Fall trends, haha.

But the best thing about it is the fact that so many fabulous friends and colleagues come into town that aren't always here, so it usually means a lot of dinners and drinks and afterparties and such. Last night I had dinner with some of my fave fashion people and it was a blast.

I braved the FREEZING temps here in NYC to snap an outfit picture. I really loved this look because it's different than my usual style aesthetic, but still felt so me. The pricetag didn't hurt either. (Also, sorry for the iPhone pics, but lugging my DSLR to events is too much of a pain sometimes).

It's been a crazy eventful years full of highs and lows in my life. I can honestly say that I will focus on the positive, but I am 100 percent ready to say goodbye to 2013.

Fashion-wise, it's been an exciting year and I'm proud of many of the things I've accomplished.

London Fashion Week S/S14 may have wrapped last week as the stylish global fashion week tour has looped back over to Paris, but there are still tons of trends to report on.

This year at London Fashion Week, I was so inspired by the street style of the girls (and guys). London street style is quirky, edgy, occasionally out there and generally different than New York.

Someone explained it as being Kate Moss to Kim Kardashian, saying Brits are more punk and harder, while the American girl is much more glam. It's hard to say, but I will say I enjoyed every minute of documenting it as your #simplycurvyUK correspondent, for my friends at Simply Be.

It's hard for me to pick which city's style I prefer. So I'll let you help me out! Take a look at my New York street style picks and compare them to these shots and let me know!

It's been an extremely exciting last two weeks with New York & London fashion weeks wrapping up. The top designers in the world sent their collections down the runway and the great news is that there is plenty of trends that can work for the curvy girl in her closet.

As you guys know, I partnered up with Simply Be this season to be their official New York & London Ambassador. I was so excited to work with a plus brand to cover fashion forward trends and items that are relevant to us as consumers AND with a brand that would help give us access to them.

Despite so few designers still incorporating plus into their collections, the great news is that Simply Be can give you access to all of those trends. They asked me to help put together some options of how you can make the trends on the runway work with their pieces. I gladly accepted the challenge and found it to be no challenge at all.
