Wedding Solutions Ft: Simply Be USA

It's officially wedding season and I know that finding attire that is both appropriate and fabulous can sometimes be a challenge. I get many emails from you guys asking what to wear to a wedding from everyone from the bride to a guest. So I decided to team up with my friends at Simply Be USA to offer some of my suggestions.

Today, we will be starting with a suggested look for a guest of a wedding. Be sure to stay tuned tomorrow when I will be doing a FABULOUS giveaway and offering some inspiration, as well as other potential wedding looks. But for now, let's talk about this look!

I chose this look from Simply Be because I thought it was so beautiful and ladylike, and met all of the things I look for when choosing the perfect wedding look.

I've broken down these top 3 criteria hat I look for in a wedding look. Now, this is just MY opinion, so feel free to agree or disagree. But this is how I decide what I will wear.

1. Ladylike Elegance

By now, most of you know that I love bodycon dresses, but I am currently really favoring a style aesthetic that's a little more ladylike and retro. This is a style that is wonderful for weddings, because let's face it, you don't always want too many looks or stares at a wedding. Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with being the center of attention or looking sexy, but a wedding is really not the place to do it, in my humble opinion. You definitely want people to LOVE what you're wearing and ask you about what you're wearing, but with ceremonies in churches and temples and with your grandparents and great aunts in the house, you want to be a little more covered up.

This dress from Simply Be is JUST that, a wonderful look hat's equal parts ladylike and fun. It's sexy without being overt.

2. Comfort AND Glamour

The worst feeling is pulling and fussing with an outfit all night. Especially at a wedding, where you want to be able to dance and have a great time and not worry about your outfit giving you trouble. Another thing about summer weddings, especially in July and August is that they can be insanely HOT, so you obviously want something that is breezy and lightweight, which this look definitely is.

3. Functionality

I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone how times are tough these days and that it's so important to have clothes that you can wear more than once. A common problem with wedding looks is that you wear them that night, and even if you love it, you may not be able to find a way to wear it again.

So check out how I styled it more casually, with flesh-colored heels, a big slouchy bag, different jewelry and the addition of a denim jacket.

AND NOW FOR MY BIG NEWS!!

You can win this ENTIRE -- including jewels, jacket and bag -- look by entering my contest I'm starting tomorrow. I will be posting details on my blog and social networks then, so make sure you stay tuned. And if you don't win this look, the good news is that there will be TWO other opportunities to win the looks I post this week, as I breakdown options for the Bridal Party and Mother of the Bride.

Thanks to everyone for checking it out! Happy Wedding Season.
