Dark Knight Rises black carpet

Last night, I had the pleasure of covering the black carpet for the world premiere of 'The Dark Knight Rises.' I'm such a fan of these films that I was so excited to get to cover it, even though it was brutally, tortuously hot being outside in New York City in 100 degree weather.

And for whatever reason, the PR handling the carpet decided it would be a good idea NOT to have it inside. Brilliant.

I didn't get to snap too many outfit shots but as pictures and video come in I will share them. Above is one I got where my hair wasn't completely plastered to my head and frizzy from the heat.

I wore a beautiful light weight ruched dress from Elie Tahari under a leopard blazer with structured shoulders from the Kardashian Kollection. I love structured shoulder blazers bc the exaggerated arms really make your waist appear slimmer. It was so hot that I took my blazer off after a few minutes, but it is so well constructed and for the price point, I was really, really pleased with it. Say what you want about the Kardashians, but the girls make (and wear) beautiful clothing. And of course, you can never, ever go wrong with Tahari.

Stay tuned!
