Simply Be Holiday Party

It's no secret that one of my favorite brands is Simply Be. I think they are such a great company in terms of the work that they are doing and the way they are engaging customers and bloggers. It really makes me happy to see a company that cares, unlike some I have complained about previously (ahem!).

Last night, myself and a group of fellow fabulous bloggers in NYC were taken out to dinner and drinks by the team and we had such an amazing evening.  It was all fun and no business and I got to really catch up with some of the UK team in a way that left me excited for what's to come in 2012.

I had just come from work, so I still had my on-set makeup on and it was great to not have to worry about doing anything to my hair or face, haha.

This is one of the simplest outfits I've worn, but lately I've been obsessed with simple basics and making them look dressed up with accessories and styling.

It looks like a skirt, but it's actually a dress that I put a long-sleeve top from Old Navy over. The top was fraying at the bottom because I've worn and washed it so many times, so I tied it at the waist and put a bright, thick paten leather belt over it. Easiest way to shop your own closet!

I'm sorry the photos aren't the greatest. Of course I brought my camera, but after a few glasses of wine and all the chatting we were doing, I ended up reaching for the iPhone to snap them.

Happy holidays!
