My take on the vintage power suit

Hello lovely friends! First of all, I want to apologize for the infrequency of my posts lately. I've had a family issue to attend to, with a loved one of mine having a medical emergency. It's been exhausting but God is good and has already taken care of her as she is improving steadily. I recently asked some of you for prayers and I can't tell you how grateful I am to those of you who offered some.  They meant more than you know.

Getting back to fashion -- I recently stumbled across this lovely gem of a vintage, peplum dress at my local thrift store haunt. I swear the 80s version of me has been dropping off her old clothing to leave for me to purchase at this store -- my luck is just too good there for it not to be destiny!

SO mad at that pesky belt sticking out.
I don't love the photos of this dress, but as you can see, the color is just the perfect shade of aqua. The dress is also very interesting to me, as I have never, ever in my entire life worn something that made my top half appear larger than the bottom, haha.

Anyway, I hope these snaps do it justice, although I fear they don't. Regardless, this dress is my idea of the perfect power suit.

The booty is a little big for the peplum, but it'll do.
Dress: Thrifted
