Little black dress

So even though here in NYC, our go-to uniform is usually black, I've actually noticed about myself that I don't own a lot of little black dresses. When I tried this dress on at Torrid, I fell in love and knew it was the perfect versatile piece to add to my wardrobe.

Last night was a friend's birthday party and it was the perfect opportunity to bust out the LBD, which is commonly accepted to be a staple of a woman's closet.

I liked this dress because of the fit and the fact that it has sleeves, so I can wear it across seasons. It can be dressed up or down and has the look of a bandage dress, made so popular by Herve Leger.

I paired it with pink accessories, curled my hair and was good to go. Excuse the crappy iPhone photos too, my camera battery died!

It was a crazy blizzard up here in the Northeast on Friday, but we still managed to have a great time on Saturday.

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!

Dress: Torrid (older) but similar here , here and here for standard sizes
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
