By now you may have heard that the fabulous fast fashion brand Charlotte Russe has finally come out with a plus size line. I've been shopping at Charlotte Russe for years, so when they reached out to me, I was thrilled to get the opportunity to choose a piece from the collection.

I'm getting myself back into the swing of things slowly but surely after celebrating and traveling with my amazing new husband. It's funny because you can be with someone for a long time before getting married, but then you officially tie the knot, as they say, and it somehow becomes different , even though it's the same. I know that sounds crazy, but what I mean to say is that while our day to day lives are the same, there is something incredibly special about knowing we have both committed to each other for life and have begun our new little family unit together with the two of us. It has brought us closer in a way I didn't know could happen after almost a decade of dating.

Anyway, enough GUSHING (geez, I'm so sorry, it's nonstop, I know). I wanted to share this look I recently blogged for People Style Watch magazine. It's this fabulous peplum and lace dress from City Chic Online. I love their store and site so much! The peplum is very flattering and the style of the dress allows me to stay warm in these frigid January temperatures while also staying chic.

This week I will be sharing all of my official wedding photos, including a how-to guide for wedding dress shopping as a curvy girl.

Last night was the first night of my bachelorette party and we had an amazing time. I wore this sexy sweater dress from Ashley Stewart and felt fabulous all night. I know most people wear white and bridal sashes and tiaras and penis necklaces and the like but I told my sister and friends they were NOT ALLOWED to even try it. Lol, luckily they listened!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Today's post features a classic piece that's simple but easy. This little black dress from Fashion to Figure is one of those pieces that becomes a staple when you want fashion without fuss. Sometimes you need a trusty dress that can go both casual and dressy, and this is the perfect piece.

Last night, I went to such a beautiful wedding for a member of my family. It was truly a great celebration of love and happiness and I was so happy to be there.  But this is going to be a quick post as I am still recovering from the party, haha!

I wore this super stunning black gown from Asos.com. I ordered it from their "Asos Tall" line, because I knew I wanted it to not only be maxi length, but also have a bit of a flow on the bottom, a la a Michael Costello gown. It was such a red-carpet look and I got a million compliments on it. The pictures honestly don't do it justice.

The best part? It only cost $67. So you absolutely NEED to get this dress for your next event, especially if you want to break a few hearts, haha. Make sure you tag me in it if you do, so I can see how you rock yours!

Buy this dress here from Asos.

I hope you all had a beautiful holiday weekend.

Hi guys! Happy holidays! I know it's been forever and I am working on a post keeping everyone up to date on where I've been and what I've been doing, but I wanted to share some of my outfit photos from the holidays!!

You can always keep up to date with me on my Instagram page, @alliemcgev.

So even though here in NYC, our go-to uniform is usually black, I've actually noticed about myself that I don't own a lot of little black dresses. When I tried this dress on at Torrid, I fell in love and knew it was the perfect versatile piece to add to my wardrobe.

Last night was a friend's birthday party and it was the perfect opportunity to bust out the LBD, which is commonly accepted to be a staple of a woman's closet.

Last night I had the pleasure of attending a fabulous fashion event in Philadelphia called "Curvy Closets." It was really well-done and loads of fun. I get so excited about supporting events when this industry has them and it did not disappoint.

We were treated to fabulous fashion from designers like Rue 114, Elocin, Swimsuits for All, BGU and more. I really enjoyed myself and got to meet some fabulous bloggers, designers and aspiring models.

As we round out the last few weeks of summer, I've really been looking forward to fall fashion and the transition months coming up. I fell in love with this Maggy London dress and thought it was one of those great pieces that will work between now and the fall.

I'm sure this dress isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's one of those pieces that the longer I have it on, the more I love it.
