Tuesday Blues

Hello beautiful people. Today, I'm bringing you the second look from my collaboration with JD Williams and menswear.

A number of designers and retailers have been bringing back paper bag waist trousers, which have forever been a favorite of mine. These pants are the perfect example on this light color suit. It gives something unexpected and a little refreshing to a traditional high waist.

I also used to be afraid to wear light colors on my hips, because I always believed it called attention to the largest part of my body, but with the right cut of pants and a monochrome scheme, it can be super flattering. The fit of this was great -- I ordered a size 16 pants and they were bit roomy in the waist, but fit well everywhere else. The ankle length works great with heels, but if you prefer a skinny hem at your ankle, you may consider tailoring them to be tighter, as they're more of a boot cut. I purchased the jacket in a 14 and was happy with it's fit as well.

As with yesterday, use code ALLIE40 to save 40 percent on full price items now through 10/9.
