Business Mind

Today I'm sharing a look I wore to a very important business meeting that I had this morning. I think a number of women find themselves facing the problem of how to look fashionable yet work appropriate. Even more, so many items in our closets often don't translate from office to party. This is especially true of bodycon dresses, but with the right fit and cut, you can easily overcome that issue.

This dress is from a boutique I found on Instagram called Sugarpopped. They don't carry plus per se but this is one example of how some items can be worked into your wardrobe, even if they seem like they weren't made for you. The material was a bit thin, but the length and cut were fantastic. And even though it's tight, it's a turtleneck, so it worked nicely under a blazer to make it more conservative. I added a statement necklace to make the mustard yellow color really pop and make it a little less stuffy. Shapewear is a definite must in this kind of material, so I opted for this piece from Assets by Sara Blakely.

Let's hope it was my successful alternative to the "power suit" that will make the outcome of the meeting exactly as I want it to be, haha.
