Sometimes the best thing about fashion is that you can have a little fun. This kitty dress is seriously so cute and got a million questions from women on the street.

It seems like the older I get the more I wearing little cartoon characters and emblems on my clothes. Maybe I'm going backwards in maturity, or maybe I'm just rebelling against the New York uniform of all black, all serious, all the time.

Either way, I love this cute little mini dress from the Material Girl Collection at Macy's. The clothes are always fun and really affordable. Keeping in mind that they are not a plus line, I'm always paying attention to the fit so I can share the best tips for buying it with you guys.

In my experience, the dresses, especially the bodycon and skater styles, fit pretty well. This particular dress I was worried about it because it looked short when I ordered it online, but it wasn't too bad at all. I ordered a L and I wear a size 16 pant and usually a 14 in dresses. MG Collection goes up to an XL so I believe it will fit up to an 18/20, as long as you are aware that it will need a foundation (it's a pretty sheer material).

I paired it with my blush pink spiked pumps with a lucite heel from Qupid (available at many different juniors stores, mine were from Strawberry) and this adorable bow belt that I got from Wet Seal. All in all this outfit was less than $100 head to toe.

I laugh at people who think you can only have style when you're buying designer labels. Style does not have a price point!

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
