Fashion without fuss

Hi everyone!

First of all, I want to apologize for being M.I.A. It's been a crazy few weeks between the hurricane, family stuff, the snowstorm and then looking for a new place on top of all of it. I've been really busy and neglected things here, and for that, I sincerely apologize. I hope you forgive me.

Today's post is a simple one. I had this idea to go out and be really dressed in a cute outfit for a couple of meetings I had today. But I walked to my closet and just felt like getting dressed was going to be a task I didn't really have the energy for. Then you add in the weather and it was a recipe for me having zero interest in being too fancy.

On days like this, where you need to look chic but you don't feel like trying too hard, I always reach for my go-to outfit of a blazer, jeans, heels and a statement necklace.


Lately, I've been feeling like most companies are letting me down when it comes to blazers. Honestly, the only places I shop for them are Mynt 1792, H&M, and Kardashian Kollection, which is where this black blazer is from.

I do not believe in spending an arm and a leg for a blazer unless it's amazing and an investment (like my snakeskin blazer from Mynt). Otherwise, I want to spend less than $100 -- often really less than $50. What I hate about so many brands is the laziness of the construction of their blazers. They either have no shape, are made of a stretchy cotton, have an ugly liner or fit funny. Say what you want about watching the Kardashians or liking them but let's be real here, they have some really cute clothes.

I grabbed this one from their standard size line, but it does come in plus :) I love that they make the same items for different sizes. Equality in fashion  -- it's all we want!



My jeans are my favorites right now - the Torrid Stiletto. I paired them with some nude pumps from Steve Madden, accessories and this adorable clutch from a vendor in Harlem and I was off.
