Wedding Solutions Ft. Simply Be USA: Bridesmaid Dresses

Today's post is part two of this super fun wedding season celebration I've been doing with Simply Be USA. But before we get to it, I wanted to say thank you to all of you who entered the giveaway! (And don't worry if you didn't win, because I'll be giving away THIS outfit tomorrow, so stay tuned!).

In the meantime, make sure you make use of my discount code '20WED' to save on your purchases at SimplyBe.com.

SO, on to the fun outfit stuff! I myself am getting married this year and finding a bridesmaid dress can be so hard if you want to depart from the typical look. In general, bridesmaid dresses are probably the worst form of fashion torture. If you're plus size, it's even harder to find flattering formal looks. I could harp on this forever. I mean, what is the deal with strapless everything, dresses that look like tents, and all that frouf and fuss? I don't really know if frouf is a word, but you catch my drift, haha.

So wouldn't it be amazing to give your friends and family the option of a dress they can REALLY wear again? Moreover, the price point is such a great one, especially considering those taffeta horrors usually start at $150 and up for something you will wear for five hours of your life.

If you're like me, you want classic, elegant looks that will stand the test of time. That's why I chose this fabulous blue peplum maxi from Simply Be. It's such a rich and vibrant color and it photographs so well. You could even mix and match with other royal blue dresses, since it's an easy hue to match.

For a casual look, I added this lace t-shirt over it, gladiator sandals and a fedora. It easily transitioned and went from super glam to a great every-day look.

I let the peplum hang out of the bottom a little bit because it gave a super cute effect, almost like the top had ruffles.

The big white shopping tote completed the look, making it perfect for a busy day of running errands or heading to an event with friends.

Stay tuned to the blog tomorrow because I will be giving away this look and will share additional options for bridesmaid dresses from Simply Be and Marisota via my Pinterest page.
