My Amazing Experience As A Correspondent At The NAACP Image Awards

I recently had the pleasure of not only attending the NAACP Image Awards, but also working as a correspondent on the red carpet pre-show, hosted by Terrence J and Nischelle Turner.

There were far too many amazing experiences to recap in one post, but know that this was truly a dream come true for me. Long before I was in fashion, I was a professional journalist (as many of you know), working at places like Fox News, People Style Watch, North Jersey Media Group, NJN News and of course now, Radio One (the parent company of HelloBeautiful and TV One, where the awards show aired). I felt like I was walking on air all night.

I attended the show as a special correspondent for Macy's, and I was paired with Roland Martin, the award-winning host of NewsOne Now. As soon as I have official clips I will share them, but for now, I am sharing these photos from the night of the show. Check out my Facebook page for behind-the-scenes video of my experiences too!

My entire look - head to toe - is from Macy's. My dress is from Ralph Lauren, shoes are from Betsey Johnson and my earrings were Givenchy. My hair was provided by Indique Hair, with a custom unit created by Versatility Is Key, a NJ-based stylist and hair maven. My hair was styled by Joyce Koomson and my makeup was done by artist Terrell Mullen.

Ill drop links to my look below!
