Denim sunset

Jeans are always such a pain, aren't they? On the one hand, I love to wear jeans, but on the other hand, I always find them tough to shop for.

A big thing that happens to me is that straight leg or bootcut jeans are almost always too short for me to wear heels with. I snagged this great pair of high-waisted, tall jeans from Catherine's at a recent denim event where they showed off their different styles.

I ordered this pair in a tall size (yay for non-highwaters) and was happy to find that they were a great length for heels and they even had a bit of a retro look because they were a little higher waisted. So I paired them with this gorgeous floral crop top from Charlotte Russe and my fave lace boyfriend cardigan from Target. Topping it with my hat from H&M, the whole look had a 70s vibe, which I have been into recently.

We shot these photos on a playground at sunset that is actually about to be demolished in my neighborhood. It had these weird turtle sculptures and was a little bit eery with how quiet it was, but it's a cool moment in time. I only caught one of the sun before it went down, but I love the shot.

Finally, I wanted to tell you about my new favorite jewelry designer, by boe. They make vintage pieces and ones filled with 14K gold in the most delicate materials. They are New York based but ship everywhere. This awesome constructed necklace is from there and is a beautiful statement piece that is still light and wearable.

It's not often that we get to see you in jeans. Very cute! Love that you added the hat!

I have the opposite problem. My jeans are always too long, even with heels. They drag on the groud, and I have to get them tailored :/
